ACT Meteors to face WA in Day/Night WNCL matches at the WACA

The ACT Meteors head west this week set to face Western Australia at the WACA on Friday, 5 and Sunday, 7 January in Rounds 7 and 8 of the Women’s National Cricket League.

Paris Bowdler, Amy Hunter and Grace Lyons rejoin the squad fresh from a successful Under 19s National Championships campaign, where both Bowdler and Hunter were named in the Team of the Tournament after strong performances.

Grace Dignam also pushes into the Meteors 13 for the first time this season.

Meteors Head Coach Erin Osborne said the squad gained some valuable downtime over Christmas and are ready for the WA challenge.

“The girls have come back to training with good intensity and clarity on how we want to play our next two games over in the West. 

“Playing day night cricket on the WACA will have its challenges, but we’re very much looking forward to it,” Osborne said.
